Parents, St. Patrick School has decided to return to in-person learning at school on Tuesday, November 17 because we sincerely feel that is what is best for the spiritual health and academic well-being of our students. Since we are a smaller, more intimate learning community, we simply have not been hit as hard as those around us. Please rest assured that we will continue vigorous mitigation efforts at school utilizing disinfection procedures, hand washing, frequent hand-sanitizing, and the continued use of mandatory face masks. While ACSD has extended its waiver to learn remotely due to their individual circumstances, we are fortunate to have been blessed by the grace of Mr. Matt English, ACSD Transportation Director, along with ACSD Administration, to provide busing to our students to begin on the morning of Tuesday, November 17. If you have not signed up to receive busing services yet and would like to, please contact Terrie or I at school and we will let Mr. English know right away. Please remember that next Wednesday, November 18, is still an early-out day for students with learning from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, and professional development to follow in the afternoon for teachers. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. God Bless you and your family, and please continue to pray for all families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Yours in Christ, Michael J. Volk, Principal
Parents, Parent Teacher Conferences: After discussion with Jones County Public Health, St. Patrick School is allowed to have Parent Teacher Conferences at school as long as all participants wear masks, all participants practice social distancing, all participants limit the conference to 15 minutes or less, and all participants disinfect surfaces between each conference. If you prefer to not meet in person for conferences, please contact your teacher directly. Otherwise, please complete the online Parent Teacher Conference Sign-Up sheet as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. God Bless, Michael J. Volk, Principal

St. Patrick School has been notified by the USDA that effective Thursday, September 17, 2020, St. Patrick School will be allowed to serve lunch to all students free. This opportunity will last until the end of December, or until current funds established for this program run out. This is a great opportunity for our St. Patrick School families, and it also helps to ensure our students are eating healthy and ready to learn without the burden of financial obligation. According to School Nutrition Association (SNA) President Reggie Ross, “These waivers ensure schools can continue to safely meet students’ nutritional needs this fall. In the midst of a pandemic, no family should have to worry about their child missing out on healthy school lunch. School meal programs face unprecedented challenges and need the assurance that these critical waivers will be available through the entire school year. SNA will continue working with USDA and Congress to further extend these waivers to support school meal programs and the students we serve.” God Bless, Michael J. Volk, Principal
